Since it’s inception – Belgian band The RG’s – are spreading their love & adoration for the mainly heavier songs throughout the musical universe.

Originally the band started out as a 2-piece-garagerockband, consisting of Stijn Decoene on drums and Wouter Vandaele on guitars/vocals. The songs were more bluesy, classic rock and grunge related, with simple yet catchy structures and heavy riff. During 2014 the band played over 30 shows before Jens Vanhee on bass joined forces, adding a more profound sound and punch which created more freedom on guitar and on a vocal level.

During 2015 the band self released a first full album. With this “self-titled” debuut, recorded at Barefootstudio, they played a great amount of shows from small town musicbars to (bigger) festivals throughout Belgium.

After building a notable live reputation the band recorded a second full album with producer Brent Vanneste (STAKE). “The Cricket Sound” was self released in april 2018 on vinyl, cd and digital.

During the pandemic-years, the band started writing on a brand new album. This time the band started a collaboration with Dominiek Hoet (King Hiss) as producer. 9 songs where recorded and mixed at the Scampi Studio in Waardamme (BE) and mastered by Arjan Bogaert at Barefootstudio. The artwork was provided by the talented Planeet Janus (Kortrijk).

“Your Head On A Stick” will be released by POLDERRECORDS digital and on cd at their release-party on December 22th, 2021. A vinyl release is planned for early 2022.
